At Escribo, we bridge the gap between academia and schools. We develop, disseminate, and evaluate evidence-based innovations that foster student achievement. Escribo Play, our educational platform, offers 400 games for early childhood centers and schools. These games can be easily customized by the teachers to fit their needs better. In addition to stimulating early reading, writing, mathematics, and science knowledge, the platform provides analytics and content suggestions that allow principals, teachers, and families to personalize teaching for each class and student.Escribo Play has already been used by 25,000 students from public and private centers and schools in Brazil. Two randomized controlled trials with a sample of 2,000 students revealed significant learning gains stemming from our app. For example, the kindergarten classes of public schools that played 20 of our early literacy games gained 211% more in reading and 126% more in writing compared to the control classes.
