- Trust is the currency of the new economy. A framework of trust will be created that makes users comfortable to try a help stay or host a volunteer helper. Team HelpStay spends a lot of time getting to know each host before placing their listing on the platform. To ensure no one is anonymous, both hosts and help stayers will undergo verification. All users will be required to register using their real name and the name that correlate with their associated Facebook and/or LinkedIn profiles. On confirmation of agreed stay, help stayers will be required to forward to host a copy of driver’s license or passport before arrival. Afterward, hosts and helpers rate each other online creating an incentive for both parties to deliver a good experience. A series of bad reputational reviews will result in removal from the exchange.

- HELP?STAY facilitates a new way of life and volunteering, exposing a different lifestyle to those who have been unable to get jobs as a result of the recession or are disenchanted with a society driven by consumerism. HELP?STAY can be for the occasional day or weekends or used as an inexpensive holiday, an opportunity to meet new people, volunteer, visit another country, learn a new skill or language. It can also be a long-term permanent lifestyle for those who are content with a frugal existence and minimal personal possessions. Helpers can plan and travel solely, in pairs, as groups, even families are welcome.

- 1. Volunter helpers pay a yearly membership fee to contact hosts and arrange a HELP?STAY. Host contact details are only supplied on payment of membership fee. 2. Affiliate fees from the sale of travel insurance and related products. 3. Host organisations who wish to gain premium search placement on the exchange will be charged a monthly fee. 4. On return of a succesful completeion of a HelpStay, the volunteer helper will be asked does he/she wish to make a donaton to the host organisation(50% of the current featured hosts are registered charities). A small percentage of the donation amount will go to HelpStay.

- HelpStay is a global platform open to bothe hosts and volunteer helpers from all regions. Part of this mission is to become a source for people to travel independently on a budget around the world, exchanging their help and services for free board and accommodation. We currently have members and hosts from over 30 countries.
